- Each item is made by hand. Why? Because production lines are as visible in a handbag as bad stitching. Within each item you can feel the attention required to create it - a transformation from design to creation.
The use of ‘leather’
- Due to our suitable experience it was decided that leather would be our signature material. Whilst other materials are certainly used in the Chenny K collection, our focus is leather. We utilise fabrics to complement our main collection of leather bags – because we understand that beautiful fabrics also have their own personalities and speak to females equally.
- Leather was chosen for its strength and textures and its reputation as being sturdy, strong, fashionable, worthy, valuable and long lasting.
Expanding from just ‘handbags’
- All women have a handbag. Its existence is essential, seen by many as the mobile extension of the female body, a familiar house of our needs and wants, portable living spaces and our trusted friends.

How it all started
Chenny K founders followed their passion when they developed the essence of this brand. Their aim was to provide to women a playful type of product. A product that wasn’t done to death, a collection of products that met specific needs that were not being answered, but at the same time put their energy into designing and bringing to life products that would make a difference to the way each woman felt when they made a Chenny K purchase or received a Chenny K gift.
These sessions and our focused intention resulted in a clear and absolute framework for what Chenny K products were to become known for; hand bags for the female that are individual, unique creations, made by hand using the material of leather (and with or without fabric) .
